The greatest insight…
My greatest insight in terms of inner beauty was a surprising one, that was already put into beautiful words by someone else before:
This quote is often mistakenly related to Nelson Mandela. But actually it is from the book “A return to love” from Marianne Williamson, published in 1992.
Our deepest fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I
to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people will not feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us;
it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.
• About inner beauty
Do you also feel a strong opposition to these words?
Do you also think:
• OF COURSE the fear of being INADEQUATE is bigger! RIGHT????
Since we want to evolve all the time, to finally get to the point of being, how we are supposed to be:
Our TRUE SELF, in everyway we can be!
But then I began to let the word sink deep into my heart and realized the DEEP TRUTH:
• It is TERRIFYING to be the REAL ME – the best version of myself!
NOW my goal is to REALLY become this best version of myself, to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous!
And I will go there straight through this HUGE DEEP FEAR!
It is exiting and fascinating and it is a journey, that’s really worthwhile!
